For more than a decade Asia NOW continues to transcend the borders that have defined East and West. Guided by the decentering mission initiated by My East is Your West, the fair continues to explore the “blind spots” of traditional fairs that often function merely as incubators. It challenges established perspectives, amplify quieter voices, and open a space where Asia is more than a geography, but a methodology, a movement.

At the 11th edition of Asia Now, NIKA Project Space presents works by Nomin Zezegmaa, Nazilya Nagimova and Natalia Papaeva.
The artistic practices of the exhibited artists unfold a spatial temporal dialogue between the personal and the collective, the bodily and the sacred. All of them work with memory, both individual and cultural, and use the language of ritual, performativity, and symbolism to rethink female subjectivity within post-Soviet and postcolonial contexts.
By deeply engaging with the traditional techniques of their local cultures and ancestors, each artist addresses the interaction between nature and humans.
