Artist Biography

Daniela Ortiz develops visual narratives that critically examine structures of colonial, patriarchal, and capitalist power through the lens of nationality, racialisation, social class, and gender. Situated between ex-voto and naïve painting, her works combine ironic anti-racist narratives with references to historical imagery.
