After a successful six-week run, Rooted Echoes at NIKA Project Space, Dubai, comes to a close this Saturday, November 1, at 5 PM, with a special performance by Ahed Al Kathiri.
In her performance, Al Kathiri reflects on how memory lives through voice and oral tradition. Drawing from recordings of her grandmother’s traditional Yemeni hymns, she reinterprets these intimate songs within a public setting, turning personal remembrance into a shared act of listening. Through the echo of her grandmother’s voice, the artist bridges generations and reawakens stories passed down through sound.
