Artist Biography
MG

MG (Sue Ng) is a Singaporean artist based in Dubai whose practice spans painting, drawing, and installation. Through psychologically charged interiors and constructed environments, she investigates the relationships between desire, identity, spectatorship, and the ways images shape contemporary experience. Working across oil, ink, and mixed media, MG creates fragmented spaces where bodies, objects, and architectural elements oscillate between reality and fiction. Her recent work explores collector interiors, mediated imagery, and the performative nature of looking, examining how personal and social identities are constructed through systems of display and representation.
MG has participated in the Tashkeel Critical Dialogues programme and FORSA School at Sharjah Art Foundation. Her work has been presented in exhibitions including Made in Tashkeel and Sikka Art Festival, and she was an artist-in-residence at Bayt Al Mamzar in 2025.
