Katya Muromtseva's House of Shadows at Setouchi Triennale

Katya Muromtseva‘s new installation takes over an abandoned house, filling each room with objects such as wooden sculptures, dolls, and painted plastic sheets. These elements rotate and cast shifting shadows on cloth and paper, accompanied by dreamlike sounds—lullabies gathered from islanders and birdsong recorded on Honjima. The work becomes a site of collective, lucid dreaming, shaped by both the remote island’s landscape and the visions of those who step inside.
