Artist Biography

Andrew Riad is a Coptic Nubian multidisciplinary artist, poet, and writer whose practice explores the intersections of poetry, performance, research, and archival inquiry. Working across text, moving image, sound, and installation, Riad reconsiders dominant historical narratives by foregrounding marginalized voices and overlooked archives. His work examines language as a site of memory, ritual, and transformation, proposing alternative histories and speculative futures through processes of imagination and collective remembrance.
